What is a hallucination?

Has it ever happened to you to see something, which you are totally aware doesn't actually exist materially? Maybe you have heard a song that is not written yet, or have smelled an odor that is not present around you at the moment. Well, that is not so terrifying as it seems. In fact, it happens more often than one might think. It's like a dream but you aren't asleep. Moreover, it is not necessary that you have taken some medication or that you are experiencing some mental disorder. It's just a hallucination and it is part of human brain activities. Traditionally, hallucination is seen as a result of psychological malfunction or drug consumption but recent scientific researches reveal that it is a much more complex and natural phenomenon than we have reckoned before.

It is calculated that the average moderately active person takes around 7,500 steps per day. If one keeps that daily average and lives until 80 years of age, he'll have walked about 216,262,500 steps in his lifetime, which is approximately 177,027 kilometers. Now, you can do the rest of the math.

2. An individual blood cell takes about 60 seconds to make a complete circuit of the body
Most people have 5 liters of blood in their body. With each beat, the heart pumps around 70 mL of blood and it beats an averagely 70 times per minute, which makes circulation of 4,9 liters per minute.

What does science say about the nature of reality?

It's perplexing how such a thing that we all perceive could be so elusive and hard to grasp. It is objective and subjective at the same time. What actually is reality? What is real? Is there an objective world outside our human senses or it is all projection of our mind? There is not a single answer but many different theories about that and most probably they are all wrong in a way. Each one of them is just yet another key for a door of endless keylocks end each is setting ajar the door a bit more. So maybe the best position is multiperspectivism.
