EPS Journal

SWS Journal of Earth & Planetary Sciences (EPS) is a quarterly multidisciplinary peer-reviewed academic research journal, published online in Vienna, Austria by SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) International Society.

We believe that science, and knowledge in general, are supposed to be shared and accessible for everyone. Therefore, our journal, which is issued both online and on paper, is completely open access (Online ISSN 2664-0090), thereby aspiring to facilitate communication among scientists from all around the world and to encourage individual researchers in publishing their scientific work.

Background

SWS Journal of Earth & Planetary Sciences was created in 2019, as a natural continuation of the longstanding work of distinguished scientists in the field of GeoSciences. It represents more than 18 years of experience gained from the organization of some of the most serious events in these fields (known in the Scientific World as GeoConferences) and the publication of more than 15,000 peer-reviewed research papers in Conference Proceedings. Our articles are indexed in the top world scientific databases, and last, but not least – the journal is a result of the tremendous experience and enthusiasm of the new 2019 SWS International Scientific Committee on Earth and Planetary Sciences.

Currently, the journal is supported and published by the SWS International Scientific Society. The responsibility for the peer-review and editorial process and the published content is of the SWS International Scientific committee on Earth & Planetary Sciences.

Scope

The Journal scope is multidisciplinary, in the main areas of Earth and Planetary Sciences, from geology and mining, mineral processing, geophysics, oil, and gas, with the support of GIS, geodesy, photogrammetry, and cartography, through water, soils, forest marine ecosystems, with the main energy sections – nuclear, renewable sources, to the ecology, nano, bio, and green. And our connection to the Universe – the Space as a formation of planets and the evolution of life. It is truly one amazing geosciences synergy.

Aims

With its conferences, SWS scientific society has created a platform where some of the most distinguished scientists and scholars from all around the world could share their expertise and collaborate with each other. The journal goes one step further in that mission, hoping to reach an even greater number of researchers no matter their location, scientific area, or personal convictions. For knowledge, it's for everyone!

The global objectives of the Journal are to propose potential solutions to problems related to the global changes, to contribute to the integration of environmental consideration into the decision-making process - hoping to ensure that present consumption will not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Abstracting and Metrics

The Journal is already registered by CrossRef / DOI, ORCID, Google Scholar, Dimensions and is in a process of indexing in DOAJ, BASE, CAB Abstracts, CNKI, EBSCO Host, RSCI (Russian Scientific Citation Index, part of Web of Science), J-Gate, Mendeley, OpenCitations, ProQuest, ReadCube Ulrichsweb™, Unpaywall, WanFang Data.

Current Issue

SWS Journal of Earth and Planetary Sciences Vol. 2 No. 2 gravitates mainly around some of the most recent researches in the fields of Geology, Exploration & Mining.

The accent is put on Seismology with articles concerning Macro-seismic intensity-attenuation relationships and seismic analysis. Sub-crustal earthquakes, attenuation laws, induced seismicity, dominant frequency, and their interconnection – surveys that could improve our understanding of topics of crucial importance. You will also be introduced to the latest assessments of mining blasting efficiency, the velocity of detonation, and fragmentation analysis. Although we have opened the page of space exploration, there are many still hidden wonders to be discovered on our home planet. You can be one of the firsts to know them.

We encourage all authors and readers of the journal to properly cite each of the papers by DOI and journal ISSN. Thank you!
