Read and gain knowledge by the SWS eLibrary and kick-off your next research work!

SWS Scholarly Society online Libraries contain peer-reviewed scientific articles, structured in two main group of fields - Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) and Social Sciences and Art (SSA). This online hub of knowledge is gathering more than 29 000 reviewed articles written by at about 17 000 distinguished scientists with high citations, presented during the SWS Scholarly Society Conferences and published in the respective conference proceedings. Read and gain knowledge by the SWS eLibrary and kick-off your next research work.

Feel free to search, collate and explore the information that you need, which will help you strengthen your research output. Explore the multidisciplinary collection of papers of SWS Scholarly Society Proceedings, providing citation analysis extracted from major databases in real time, articles references and metadata exports (BibTex format).

The SWS Society online Library can be used for free by all members of Academies and Universities that are regular SWS Scientific Partners. The Individual researchers could also check and read paper's metadata for free, but access to the full text of the papers is option (paid service).

Empowering the data by metrics

Research metrics (also known as altmetrics), immediately measure awareness and interest and give us new ways to uncover and tell the stories of research. The most powerful tool for measurement metrics is being integrated into both library platforms. It provides insights into the ways people interact with individual pieces of research output (articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, and many more) in the online environment.

Five main categories for measuring:

Citations – This is a category that contains both traditional citation indexes such as Scopus, as well as citations that help indicate societal impact such as Clinical or Policy Citations.

Usage – A way to signal if anyone is reading the articles or otherwise using the research. Usage is the number one statistic researchers want to know after citations.

Captures – Indicates that someone wants to come back to the work. Captures can be an leading indicator of future citations.

MentionsMentions – Measurement of activities such as news articles or blog posts about research. Mentions is a way to tell that people are truly engaging with the research.

Social media -This category includes the tweets, Facebook likes, etc. that reference the research. Social Media can help measure “buzz” and attention. Social media can also be a good measure of how well a particular piece of research has been promoted.

We welcome everyone that wants to enjoy the magical symbiosis of all fields of Science!
