ABSTRACT
The process of planning and management of the area should provide the optimal utilization and minimizing the possibility of a spatial conflicts and effects at the same time. The primary factor that limit the emergence of conflict situations is appropriate spatial policy, that should help in managing the conflict situations and the creation of the planning secure space (PSS). Planning safe space eliminates (reduces) the possibility of the emergence of threats both natural and anthropogenic, therefore it’s minimizes the processes and consequences creation of spatial conflicts.
The aim of the study is the identification and location of potential conflict areas, as well as proposition of it’s changes with the use of geoinformation. The possibilities of the use of geoinformation in the process of shaping the safe space will be presented. It is considered as a tool to support decision making in the planning and management of the area. The procedure of identification of conflict function and its impact on the environment, especially regarding to residential area and property, will be shown. The analysis of potential places of conflicts will take into account both the social and economic aspect. The results in the form of cartographic studies will be visualized.
The study was prepared as a result of implementation of research project No. UMO-2014/13/B/HS4/00171 financed from the funds of the National Science Centre.

Keywords: geoinformation, planning safe space, spatial conflict.
