INTERNATIONAL EMERGENCY POOL FUNDS AND THEIR USAGE IN DISASTERS SOLVING

ABSTRACT

According to statistics, all over the world we can see a significant increasing trend of the disasters, of the affected population and the amount of the damages due to negative disasters consequences. It means a big challenge for creating an international funding pools, which can be used for disasters consequences funding. Article pays attention to emergency pool funds that serve to funding needs during response and recovery phase, and in particular their purpose, accumulation system and a mechanism for finance providing. Dataset used in article come from several international crisis management organizations, in article we analysed funds and made a comparison of most common emergency pool funds. Main findings were summarized for usage of this pools in Slovak and Czech Republic. Research could be understand as basic point of understanding the layering principle in disasters consequences funding.
